Hey everyone! So, I am going to make this letter a little
shorter today because we are having a Zone P-Day in Stuttgart where we are
playing some games, and having a cookie Iron Chef competition. It may be
a little difficult since brown sugar is one hot commodity here in Germany, but
we will make due. It really is a good excuse to wear normal clothes,
which is always really nice. Always. Luckily it's also not as ugly
here as it is at home. Glad to hear everyone is safe though.
This week was pretty good. We spent last P-Day in
Stuttgart as well since we can go there for free, and we played Soccer.
Which meant that I stayed on the side and talked to the Elder who twisted
his ankle (he's better now though) while others played. Mostly we just
laughed at people, since us non-Europeans don't know how to play Soccer so
well. I'll just say that I would not have been the worst, so there were
some really bad people. Haha!
On Tuesday, we had an exchange and I worked in Heilbronn
with Elder M. It was way good. It's just nice to have a break
from a companion. Especially after 15 weeks together. But it was
good. They have a cool investigator who is preparing for baptism this
week, so it was neat to get to teach him.
On Wednesday we came back together, and did some contacting,
and it was not so successful. But it was okay. In case you may
have forgotten sometimes I get a little over stressed and it's not that fun at
all. I don't really know how to describe it, it's just strange. But
I am feeling tons better now, there is a super good Mormon Message called
'Mountains to Climb' that is really good. When
I watched it because I felt like it was EXACTLY what I needed to hear. I
would recommend it. I just need to remember that life just has its ups
and downs.
Thursday was good. We went Home Teaching to a part member family which was
really good. Before we had dinner with the D (they are the
family who we were with on Christmas, and I love them so much) which was great.
They have a daughter who is almost 8 and is just hilarious. It's so
nice that here I feel like I can really be myself a lot more.
On Friday we went and had lunch with J which was good.
On Saturday we had Finding Day in Pforzheim, not tons
happened. But it was strange because they had quite a bit of stuff about how it
was totally destroyed by bombing in the war. As in 20000 people died.
Of the 60000 who lived there. Look it up on Wikipedia. Haha!
That was about it. We also had to do an exchange with the Zone Leaders in
Stuttgart because we are really close and one of them has very minor pneumonia,
and they had an appointment, so Elder H went to teach and I got to stay
and play board games with the other Zone Leader. Woohoo!!
On Sunday we had Stake Conference and an Area 70 from
Holland came. It was crazy because he had almost a Texan accent, but it's
because Dutch people have way good English and speak with an American accent
almost. Even when they speak German. It was really good though.
Afterwards we had an eating appointment which was fun and then did some
contacting.
In general it was good. Nothing too special, but this
week will be good because we have Zone Conference. I am really excited.
Say Happy Birthday to the boys for me! And take some pictures. I am
pretty sure I won't even recognize them any more when I come back. that
will be weird. But I don't need to worry about it. it will come whether
I worry or not. I love you guys a lot! Thanks for the package Mom
and Dad. It's great. Elder H loves Scripture Scouts. .
